NEW 50L Top Case for Earlier K
Models
Finally, a spacious top
box that attaches to the standard tail rack found on most K75’s,
K100’s, and K1100RS, and 1985 and later Monolever twins (R65/80/100)
equipped with stock supplemental luggage rack. Made by Hepco &
Becker of Germany, this 50 liter box is big enough to swallow two
full face helmets! It’s sturdy luggage built to blend with lines
and finish of stock BMW luggage systems. If you have the small stock
luggage rack already on your K bike (see below), this case goes on
in just seconds with a turn-and-lock mechanism very much like the
one standard on BMW’s 22 liter top case — and it comes
off just as easily. Rear conspicuity is enhanced by the large red
reflective panel.
Give your passenger
some added comfort with the optional foam back rest pad. Attaches
simply with two bolts and fits perfectly in the corresponding space
molded into the lid of the top case. Drilling is required but an easy-to-use
template is included.
Many K bikes
came with this rack as standard equipment. But if you don’t
have one, this BMW kit comes with everything you need and is
not too difficult to install. Drilling of your seat cowl is
required and a template is supplied.
For Monolever twins, this top case can only be installed if you already have the correct brackets on your bike. New ones are no longer available from BMW.
BMW Commuter Bag
Specifically
designed for use with a motorcycle or scooter, BMW's roomy
new Commuter Bag is made of rugged, waterproof (but not sealed)
nylon and features several individual compartments. Most important
is the center space for your laptop. The main strap is removable,
as is the waist belt which is added to keep the bag securely
nestled while riding. The Commuter Bag is also equipped with
fabric padding that insulates it from the rider, with additional
impact protection from the large plastic corners on the bottom
that allow the bag to stand on its own. Large Velcro strips
team with two large clips to secure the front flap, made large
enough to operate with a gloved hand. Inside, the various
individual compartments offer ample space for documents, folders
and cell phones. There's even a slot for your CD/MP3 player,
complete with a perforated output for the headphone line.

The
artwork from our most popular T-shirt design has now been applied

limited quantities to commemorate the official dedication of The
Vintage Museum at Bob’s BMW. The “Vintage Scene,”
an intriguing art deco style commercial illustration from 1937,
shows a couple of intrepid motorcyclists mingling with a party of
golfers in what may have been an early effort to suggest that riding
a BMW was as much a sport of the privileged elite as golf. It seems

R1200GS Lift Handle
Lifting the big GS onto its center stand is a bit awkward because of the lack of a good place to grip. Verholen of Germany has solved the problem with their excellent retractable lift handle. It takes only about a minute to install the lift handle on the frame and you’re done! The handle snaps back out of the way when not in use with the satisfying sound and feel of a rifle bolt action. And it looks just like a factory part. Now, lifting the bike up is no longer an uncomfortable procedure. This well designed item is beautifully crafted in Germany.
