Sometimes
the brain says Lean-Mean-Sports-Machine but the body says Comfort-Touring.
So if you’ve taken your new K1200S out for a couple of long
rides only to discover that you’re not as flexible as you
once were, fix the problem with these alternate handlebars! They’ll
place your hands a couple of inches up and further back, which is
a substantial change. They’re beautifully designed and manufactured
in Germany by Verholen, TUVA approved, easy to install, and require
no changes to cables or hydraulic lines.
Handlebar Set-backs (Bar-BAX)
Bob's stocks a full line of adaptor sets to move handlebars higher and back toward the rider. And since it seems to be just about the most popular ergonomic modification there is, Bob's is proud to offer an application for almost every model. But handlebar mods are not always a simple bolt-on. We're still in the process of putting together a comprehensive online ordering page, complete with recommended hydraulic lines and control cables (when required). So for now, please CALL us at 1-800-269-2627 to order Bar-BAX for your model.

BMW
Heated Handgrip
Heated grips aren't just a winter riding luxury. Ask any experienced rider. Cold hands can happen anytime: with nightfall, altitude change, or an unexpected change in the weather. Heated grips allow you to ride with lighter gloves for greater sensitivity. And control is everything. More and
more newer models come with heated grips as standard equipment, but if you're riding something a little older. get updated. Get heat!
Heated grips are also available for models
not listed here, but only as individual components rather than kits.
We can't list all the parts here at this time, but please call and
we'll arrange to get everything you need.
Wrist
Rests are here... Dial-in relief for your aching throttle
hand!
Now available for the R1200C Montauk!
Elegant simplicity of design is what makes the Wrist Rest such an
ideal solution. With just a slight turn of the knurled center ring
on the Wrist Rest, a phenolic slip ring slides in to apply friction
against the end of the throttle tube, keeping it in its place so
you don't have to!
Modulate your speed up and down or close the
throttle just the same as you normally would—without having
to reset the Wrist Rest each time. You can give your right hand
a break because now it's not necessary to hold constant pressure
on the throttle grip to maintain speed. It's easy! And safety is
assured because you can’t over-tighten the Wrist Rest. Installation
takes only minutes. Complete instructions are provided, and with
most applications, there's nothing else to modify. The Wrist Rest
is made of stainless steel for great looks and lifetime durability.
Wrist
Rest Kits
Everything needed (but the tools*) to fit a
Wrist Rest to your Beemer is here: The kits include the Wrist
Rest, a matching ‘dummy’ weight for the left side,
and if required for your model, any additional parts or adaptors.
Complete instructions are included too, of course.
* You'll really only need a couple of the tools
in your bike's kit and some Blue Loctite.
Owners of K75's, K100's, and Air-heads, don't
despair! You still can use a Wrist Rest, but we need a bit more
info from you for a proper fit. Please call Bob's at 1.800.BMW.BOBS
for details.
