2011 TRIUMPH T100 BONNEVILLE

Not to short change any of the other great looking, fine riding remakes of Classic but modern machines available from a variety of bike manufacturers today but this may be the most original looking one of all. Even if you did not grow up in the era when these were the bikes that made the true enthusiasts heart beat a lot faster, had style and colors and more that others had not dreams of yet or maybe you didn’t even know about the Ace Café or pay attention to the fact that there an abundance of classic British bikes in the famous movie the Wild Ones you can still make a statement by owning the more modern version.

Thankfully Triumph now builds them better. They generally don’t leak or shake like the originals did but they sure do turn heads like they used to – maybe more now than then! So imagine yourself cruising down the pleasantly twisty and roller coaster back roads of Maryland and Virginia or even nearby Pennsylvania or West Virginia on this almost unbelievably low mile, one owner beauty. Heck, imagine parking it out front of your favorite watering hole in Washington, DC over the July 4th weekend and beyond. Yes, imagine the looks on the faces of your friend son their more pedestrian rides parked out front. And yes again, we’d urge you to drink very responsibly when riding a bike if you chose to drink at all – the ride can be intoxicating enough for most enthusiasts.

This one came to Bob’s because the original owner rode it once or twice after getting it home and then parked it. It sat and sat and never got or provided any more enjoyment.  It arrived with a dead battery, very old fuel and in need of some professional TLC. Thankfully underneath the dust and light layer of dirt the team at Bob’s saw a real gem waiting to be brought back to life. So we acquired it and then turned it over to the pros in the Service Department who know almost as much about all the other brands of bikes as they do BMW’s and wow did they return the sales team a beauty.

This bike now looks new and runs like new.  Thankfully no major issues arose in our through review and servicing of this machine. We’ve changed fluids, installed a new battery, drained and properly disposed of the old fuel and replaced it with fresh high test and even run some fuel injector cleaner through it. We’ve added Nitrogen to the tires which are about 4 years old since manufacture but look perfect and have most of the original casting nubs still showing. We think they should still provide a season or two of good, safe use before the next owner installs some fresh rubber in a year or two as would be our target.

In terms of extras and stock equipment what you see is what you get. These machines look like they have carburetors but that’s actually a disguise for the fuel injection system to keep that classic look. The luggage rack is from Triumph  as is the nifty little sport screen or fly swatter as we like to call them. And that really classic looking bench seat is also a stock offering. These bike shave the perfect balance of black and white paint, blacked out and highlighted drive line or engine parts coupled with some exceptionally nice chrome highlights including the wheels, exhaust system and rear shocks. Perhaps the only tiny cosmetic flaws you may notice is a little rub mark on the front fender and a tiny bit or deterioration on the spokes near the nipple heads. Aside from that, if you even notice it will wow you from front to back.

Offered with a pair of keys, alarm fobs for the factory alarm system and a new owner’s manual that we ordered as the original was lost by the first owner. It also has a very nice set of Triumph soft saddlebags that are very secure but can be easily removed for the purist of naked bike looks. This one is priced to make someone very happy very quickly so don’t wait too long to stop by and check it out in person.
