License-Earning Motorcycle Courses

This is among the most popular course and is a license earning course. It is for you if you’ve never ridden a motorcycle, you have limited riding experience, haven’t ridden in a long time or could benefit from comprehensive information about safety and road skills.

The Basic Rider Course (BRC) requires the completion of a three-hour online component before class meets. Students will be required to bring proof of completion to class. Students must provide a valid email address at time of registration in order to receive instructions to access the online module. Students may arrange for access to HCC computer labs, if needed, to complete this portion.

Cost: $345

Scheduling: Three-hour MSF eCourse, two evening classroom sessions and two range sessions

Classroom sessions on Monday and Wednesday evenings

Range sessions on Saturday and Sunday morning or afternoon

Weekday classes are also available, starting Monday and finishing Wednesday

Back By Popular Demand: Basic Rider Course for Women

Are you a woman who would like to obtain a motorcycle license but would prefer doing so in a setting with only women? Ask about the Basic Rider Course for Women. This is a once-a-year class, held on Monday, June 19-Sunday, June 25. This class is limited to 12 students and will fill quickly.

Improve Your Ride

Extra Practice in Basic Riding Course

A Rider School Exclusive

Scheduling: One weekend afternoon (typically Sunday)

Experienced Rider Course/BRC 2

During nine riding exercises, instructors will advise you about how to improve skills and eliminate bad habits. At the end, you’ll receive an ERC completion card. Specifically, this class is recommended if you have a Class “M” license and want to refine your skills or you need the ERC to ride on a military installation.
